Temptation lures us toward those things we know we should resist. For
Charlie Marston, temptation comes when he finds himself weakest. His
football career has abruptly ended and he is left to hobble through life in
a winemaking career his family has chosen for him.
Charlie enjoys winemaking, but working alongside his father is fraught with
conflict. Soon Charlie is looking for a way out. He finds Randy Black, who
is part stunt pilot and part drunken Pied Piper. Randy tempts Charlie with
sinful indulgences and stunts that become more dangerous with each passing
day. The novel begins as Randy introduces Charlie to Deirdre Deudon, the
provocative wife of a local farmer. The tryst erupts, sending the three of
them running to save themselves from the consequences.
