Volume I, Edition 3 May 2007 |
| Hello Readers, It's finally here! Taking Stock is now available on Amazon and online from Barnes & Noble. Preview copies have been sent to dozens of independent bookstores as well. Books will become available in more stores as signings are scheduled. We are getting ready for the launch party on June 2nd, which will be the first event for Taking Stock. I'm looking forward to spending some time with you all. If you haven't gotten your RSVP in, now's the time. And the winner is.... A few days ago, my daughter reached into the huge bowl filled with newsletter reader names and pulled out..... Laura L. from Sommerset, MA. Laura chose a copy of Taking Stock and will have it delivered shortly. Best of luck to the rest of you for next month! Laura's name goes back into the bowl and she's eligible again for the June drawing. Everyone's a critic... Or at least you can be! Thanks to all who've reviewed Sin and Vengeance on Amazon. This is a huge help to people who are shopping online. Having lots of reviews is a key difference between the books that do well online and those that don't. Many thanks for taking the time to compose your own! The new look of Sin... If you haven't seen the new cover for Sin and Vengeance, click over to the books page. I'm really pleased with the result and I hope you are, too. Sarah is my hero! Thanks for reading, CJ
Taking Stock: The inside scoop part II Contest Corner: A hint for the Taking Stock Contest

In talking with many of you, I've learned that we don't tend to have a lot of sympathy for villains. Maybe it's just me, but I feel for these guys sometimes.
Imagine what most teenage boys would do unsupervised and that's the life Brad Foster has known. Brad's biggest problem is that he hasn't outgrown that life yet. He drinks heavily and is distracted by every pretty face he passes.
Brad's older sister has married well and she gets him a cushy job at her husband's firm. Unfortunately, Brad doesn't know a good thing when he's got it. Brad takes one too many shortcuts. He earns himself some easy money, but gets himself trapped into something more dangerous than he's ever imagined.
More to come...

The Taking Stock Character Contest
I issued a press release recently to announce the Taking Stock Character Contest. Of course there is a clue to the contest embedded in the release. You can solve the press release clue without the book, but it won't help you until you have the book in your hands.
Good Luck!!!
